Nigeria Christian corpers fellowship. NCCF
Let me start by saying you don't know nccf unless you are there yourself. I have heard and have been part of those saying things that are not truly verified about nccf. But looking back at almost 8months ago that I came for my NYSC all I can say is NCCF is the body that is making my nysc experience most memorable.
In these series I will be saying the things nccf has taught me.
It's all started from camp, the second day in camp I heard someone say that she wants to go to the fellowship, I was wandering what fellowship. It was a glorious service after I decided to follow her, of course as my custom was I joined the choir immediately and felt more homely. I started attending from then onward, I took praise a couple of times and the more I went the more I enjoyed God's presence even In an seemingly secular gathering over at the orientation camp ikare akoko ondo state.
The current executives then were wonderful set of persons they took sp-
ecial care of us and made us feel like yay I am home.
I didn't find it difficult to do my personal devotions in camp though that was a common challenge amongst camp Christians due to the tight schedule. Nccf was on their part helping to fan the fire and sincerely I am glad to be fufiling the prophecy.
That picture was the last Sunday in camp at the nccf tent. I was sure as at then of where I will be posted to I had sensed it.
My admonion for new Corp members or young graduate who will be serving soon. As soon as you get to camp look around for nccf tent and be a part of the prophecy that was was given many years ago that one day Nigerian youths will be paid to preach the gospel of Christ. NYSC Nigerian youths serving Christ. Watch out for the next episodes on my NCCF experience. Stay tuned. F.J.
TOWARDS A TOTAL JESUS CORPER
I sincerely want to believe that firstly it was by the privilege of God that we are amongst the Jesus Corp Members in this state at this particular point in time. I will also like to state correctly here that your being a part of the NYSC scheme at this particular time was not just because you went to school and graduated. Much more it was first because the lord had orchestrated that you will be here at this particular time. For He knows the end from the beginning.
However, much more than being a Christian the lord requires that we become a total man, which entails excelling in all the spheres of influence that is business and economy, Government/politics, media, academics, Arts/entertainment and Religion. The lord wants us to stand out anywhere we find ourselves in life. And so as Christian we should look forward to becoming a complete man so that we can seek to excel in these areas.
There are specifically 7 aspects of our lives that God wants us to succeed. Until we have an understanding of these 7 aspect and work therein we may likely not become total and as such lacking in specific areas of our lives.
1. Spiritual aspect
2. Physical aspect
3. Financial aspect
4. Career aspect/vision
5. Mental aspect
6. Social aspect
7. Emotional/family/marital.
Time may fail me to begin to explain with detail examples these 7 aspects, but I trust the Holy spirit will interpret the little point.
1. The spiritual aspect: the spiritual aspect of a man is actually the platform on which other areas lies. As a Jesus corper, we must get to the understanding that there’s more to salvation and until we follow hard after God we don’t get to enjoy many things God has prepared for us. So lets keep following Jesus squarely in our deeds daily and as touching other areas. Another emphasis I will like to make as regards this point is that we should strive not to be a mediocre Christian by learning to align ourselves with Gods plan and purpose for us per time. Lets remember jere29:11 when the lord was letting us know that He alone has us in mind and He requires that at every point we return to Him in alignment with His will.
2. Physical aspect: the concept of totality has everything to do with our physical life, it really is aiming at a point where we will not only be tagged a Jesus corper but one who is complete. So the fact that we are following Jesus doesn’t stop us from taking care of our body and ourselves. As a matter of fact with the experience of evangelism I discovered that people don’t give you attention when you are not looking attractive. if you want people to accept Christ they must first accept you. So being a Christian doesn’t stop us from brushing our tooth properly, it doesn’t even stop us from appearing smart always. As my father will always say “you need your body to fulfil destiny’’. Destiny fulfillment without this body is a waste. If not then angels and spiritual being will be operational on earth. So if we must fufil our God ordained purpose then we must ensure to care for our body.
3. Financial aspect: the aspect of finance is letting us really know that God requires that we are accountable for every finance He gives to us. He requires a level of trust from us before he commits more resource into our hands. How often do we pay our tithe? How often do we appear before the lord empty or with the lowest currency. We can be accountable to God with our finance then the lord will find us faithful to commit durable riches into our hands.
4. Career/vision aspect: our career is probably those things we aspired to become or those things that we went to school to study and we decide to major in, it could also be the talent of ours that we decide to develop and make a living out of. The vision of God for our live can only be discovered when we align ourselves with His will for our lives. So the lord expect that we make impact in every area we find ourselves.
5. Mental aspect: when we talk about the mental aspect of a man/ then we begin to talk about the mind and its function.
i. Reasoning faculty; To engage in rational, logical and analytical thinking (Isa. 1:18,19). It is looking at issues objectively to locate the right step to take (Isa. 41:21).
ii. Imagination. Imagination sets the pace for our destination. It is the act of image-formation. Our mental picture determines our actual picture (Gen. 13:14,15)
iii. Seat of knowledge. It is our principal instrument for learning (Hosea 4:6; Jn. 8:32)
iv. Seat of Understanding. Intense meditation on knowledge Dan. 9, 2.
We understand from this that the lord requires that we engage our mind. He has promised us knowledge of witty inventions and he expects that we keep renewing our mind daily. Riom12:2
6. Social life: God also requires that we remain sociable. This has a lot to do with our relationship with people as Christians. I have heard a lot of persons say that Christianity is boring, I can expressly say that the statement is false because when we begin to come to the experiential knowledge of God through His word we realize that indeed Christianity is not boring. Also that we are spiritual does not require that we are pious and as such refuse to mingle with people. Even Jesus at a point at to eat with the sinners not because he was a part of them but because the assignment cannot be fulfilled without the people factor.
7. Emotional/family/marital: a friend of mine was going through emotional problems and then he said he was finding it difficult for him to pray. Our work with God can be jeopardized if we refuse to guide our emotions properly, we must learn to be able to control our anger. One major things we Christians should crave for beyond seeking the gifts of the spirit is the fruit of the spirit. Those powerful fruit is centered on one major thing LOVE. Understanding and working in the reality of the fruits of the spirit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control.

AN INTERVIEW SESSION WITH JOJOLO-JESU GOSPEL MINISTER.
INTERVIEWER: Good afternoon ma, I am excited and privilege to have you.
JOJOLOJESU: Good afternoon, the pleasure is mine.
INTERVIEWER: Ma can we know your Name?
JOJOLOJESU: My Name is Oluwafolakemi Olagoke Ogunrewo popularly known as (JOJOLO-JESU).
INTERVIEWER: Ma, since when have you really been singing?
JOJOLOJESU: From the age of 4 I had passion for singing, but when I was 6 I started going for ministrations as the guest artist. My dad initially declined but later he supported me, and since then I have been singing to the glory of God.
INTERVIEWER: We have been hearing the name Jojolojesu for a long time, how did the you come about the name ma?
JOJOLOJESU: I was invited to a program sometime ago then I was around 6-7 years thereabout. The M.C invited the guest artist on stage although he was expecting a much older person, but to his surprise I was looking very little {smiles}. When I came up stage he was doubting my capabilities and infact was kind of making jest of me, yet I was so confident and I told him boldly that I am the guest artist. I began to sing and they were all amazed at the wonderful performance so much that after the ministration they began a session of debate on my stage name, since I couldn’t provide one, I said I was Oluwafolakemi. The M.C suggested that my stage name should be shankolo Jesu, while the pastor opposed the Name as it sounded secular and finally suggested jojolojesu as my stage name and that was how it came to be.
INTERVIEWER: Ma, when was the first time you ever took the microphone to sing and how was your experience like?
JOJOLOJESU: My first ministration was in my church Christ Apostolic Church Oke-Ayo. There was a praise night holding in the church that day, they called for special number and I sang. Even though I was given 5min the church enjoyed it and the duration of time got extended. But my first outing was in Pastor Abolarin's Church (C, A, C)
INTERVIEWER: So, how was it like? Been the first time?
JOJOLOJESU: initially, I did not have stage fright while ministering but after dropping the microphone I began to wonder how possible it was for me to face the crowd, then I became afraid. What an irony!!!
INTERVIEWER: What was your motivating factor for the ministry, how were you able to come out?
JOJOLOJESU: I want to thank God for the parent God gave me, they were my backbone apart from the Lord. They really helped me out at every point in time. they always pray, encourage and advise me when am down. God has spoken to me through pastors, and prophets several times, I some time see myself in front of very large crowed praising the name of the Lord most times in the dream. Also because of my zeal and passion for the Lord and for His praise, I kept on pressing even in the midst of challenges.
INTERVIEWER: For how long have you been into this kingdom assignment?
JOJOLOJESU: It should be over 15years now.
INTERVIEWER: What are the challenges you have faced thus far?
JOJOLOJESU: Ahaa, lot of challenges that I can’t mention now, there are times people treat me with zero significance because of my age. I have also had an experience of a fake pastor who suggested that I do uncompromising things that are not biblical for the ministry to blow which i can never comply with. Some marketers are also too demanding that they want to collect more than I can afford per time. The one that gave me problem the most were brethren with different visions and revelations about me being their future partner so as to confuse me, But I appreciate God I have been able to overcome these challenges.
INTERVIEWER: How many albums have you released and what are their names?
JOJOLOJESU: I have released 5 albums altogether; I released my first album titled ONA-IYE when I was 8, the second titled WONDERS OF JOY was released when i was only 12. The third song is ORUN OHUN-AYE. the 4th is MY OPENED DOOR OF GLORY and the 5th is titled ALAGBARA BI ARA. We also have others on ground about to be released.
INTERVIEWER: Are you Educated?
JOJOLOJESU: Yes, I am graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomosho (LAUTECH) Ogbomosho Department of Animal production and Health and I served at Impact High school Alagbaka Akure, Ondo state.
INTERVIEWER: How were you able to balance your Spiritual, ministerial, and academic life while on campus?
JOJOLOJESU: God helped me to create a balance while in school. My spiritual life was not affected even though I did a lot of traveling. As a matter of fact, in my fellowship in school CACYOF (Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship Oke-Imole) I was both the Academic Secretary and Chief Usher for 3 years and 2years respectively yet both my personal ministerial assignment, and that of fellowship did not affect any area of my academics. To the glory of God I graduated with second class upper 4.38 to be precise which is very close to 4.5 where First Class grade starts from. I was always focused on my academics; I did a lot of reading and group discussions with friends during exam period.
INTERVIEWER: Who are your mentors in this kingdom assignment ma?
JOJOLOJESU: Mummy Bola Are, Mummy Bisi Alawiye, and Daddy Ojo-Ade. We have contact and they all treat me as their daughter.
INTERVIEWER: Apart from your parent who are the major persons in your life especially as it relates to the assignment?
JOJOLOJESU: My Siblings, Prophet Segun Isedowo, Pastor Oke from T.A.C, pastor Obiwale. And so many pastors across the Nation that I might not be able to mention for now.
INTERVIEWER: Ma, do you only minister in C.A.C churches because its your background church?
JOJOLOJESU: No I am versatile, I have been invited to minister in several churches across the federation especially in the west. I have been to CAC, RCCG, LFC, CCC, and other Pentecostal churches.
INTERVIEWER: What are your kind of songs ma?
JOJOLOJESU: Gospel music, Mostly, praise, worship, prayer songs, and soul winning songs.
INTERVIEWER: What is your advice for the young upcoming gospel artist?
JOJOLOJESU: Once they know they have what it takes they should keep pressing on, and as such they must learn to be focused, determined, and mustn’t be distracted by anything whatsoever, they should let their zeal for God continue to drive them towards the utmost aim of showing forth the praise of God.
INTERVIEWER: Are you saying they should be focused so as much that their academics is not important to them?
JOJOLOJESU: No, I am a graduate so is every member of my band. I will not advice that they only be focused on ministerial assignment as their educational skills are even needed for the assignment. They need to be exposed in this age to avoid been side lined, except if otherwise stated by God.
INTERVIEWER: So what is your advice to parents if they notice any talent in their ward?
JOJOLOJESU: They should endeavor to support and encourage them both mentally, morally and financially.
INTERVIEWER: What is the current situation jojoloJesu gospel band is facing?
JOJOLOJESU: Our major challenge is marketing, I am currently waiting for God fearing marketers out there who is not too demanding and whose standard is the Lord's.
INTERVIEWER: So ma if you get a sponsor who is ready to connect you and finance you would you accept, if the person wants to have sex with you?
JOJOLOJESU: No, no matter how resourceful any sponsor maybe I will not compromise my spiritual standard for any of such person.
INTERVIEWER: Ma thank you for your time, I really appreciate your integrity and I advise that you stay in God’s will all your life.
JOJOLOJESU: You are welcome ma. Thank you too.
INTERVIEWER: What do you have to say to your fans?
JOJOLOJESU: To all my fans out there I want to say a big THANK YOU to you all. I am nothing without you and God. Thanks for your support, prayers, advise, encouragement, thanks for buying my CDs, thanks for inviting me to programs, thanks for everything and remain blessed. I love you all. And am using this medium to tell you that by the grace of God I will not disappoint you and God in Jesus Name. Amen.
